Standing Poses Part 3

For this class you will need blocks, a blanket and some wall space.

For this class you will need wall space, blocks and a blanket.

We start out laying down to warm up and then move to the wall for more warm ups. We practice Upward dog and shoulder work at the wall to prepare doing more backbends our our mats. We work into revolved triangle pose and then end in supported bridge pose. This class was filmed live July 16, 2022.

Hip to Hips Foam Roller Series

For this class you need a foam roller and blocks.

We start out warming up laying down and work on spine and shoulder mobility. From there we work side lying on shoulder strength and then foam roll on the outer hips. This work can be intense and needful so go slow and take breaks if you need it. From there we work into standing poses and explore our strength and range of motion in these familiar shapes. We start out with a chest opener and spinal work on the foam roller. From there we continue with more warm ups and then stand should shoulder work. We build up to a fun Warrior III variation and then use it in a standing pose flow. This class was filmed live June 25, 2022.

Shoulders and Spine Part 3 Foam Roller Series

For this class you will need a foam roller, a blanket, blocks and wall space.

We start out with an active chest opener for lasting changes and then move into more warm ups laying down. Rolling the hips helps prepare them for deeper stretching. From there we come up and work the spine in cat cows and thread the needle. In standing we continue to work the shoulders and warm up at the wall. We then flow through yoga poses to feel the opening and strength we have found. This class was filmed live June 11, 2022.

For this class you will need a blanket or two and blocks and some wall space.

We start out relining for the warm up and side lying to work on breathing, twisting, and adductor strength. From there we work on adductors again from all fours. We start out laying down for a flow style warm up. This soft opening can help set the tone for a more relaxed ease into the practice. Rotating From The Hips

For this class you will need blocks and a blanket.

We start off laying down and move into standing warm ups. We spend some extra time drawing the femur back into the sockets in preparation for the standing poses. This is another take on our anti-rotation work at we rotate from the hips rather than the spine. We end class with a relaxing stretch in pigeon pose before savasana.

Shoulder Mobility for Dolphin Pose

For this class we use a bolster, blocks, a chair and a blanket.

We start out in child's pose and work on spinal mobility to open up this class. From there we fin hip strength work in side lying to set up the foundations for standing tall. We spend extra time working on shoulder warm ups and mobility and build into weigh baring in dolphin pose. All of this work will help unwind tension and slouchy posture from the week! Posture Part 3

For this class you need a strap, blocks and a blanket.

We start out warming up laying down and work on strengthening our core. From there we continue to get our bodies moving in all fours and then in standing stretching while holding a strap over head. We continue finding the serratus anterior muscles under the shoulder blades in all fours and then in plank pose. We also continue the work of finding the adductors with shoulder strength in side plank with the block variation. All of these poses give us strength for tall upright posture and ease of movements in the standing poses. This class was filmed live February 12, 2022.
