In this class you will need a strap and blocks. We start out with longer leg stretches with the strap laying down. From there we move into standing work, taking longer holds in familiar standing poses and playing with different transitions. This helps create focus and strength. A Well Rounded Practice
For this class we start out with breathing awareness, move into shoulder warm ups with the bolster and then work on standing poses. We end with legs up the wall and longer hip stretched to relax and ease into savasana. This class was filmed live October 24, 2023.
Twisting, Balancing, and Backbending
In this class you need blocks, a blanket, and a strap. We start out with hip glides to prepare the hips for the warm up, this new start really seems to make a difference for people, I am so excited about it. From there we warm up the whole body. In standing we really get into side body opening, check out how your breathing feels. Then we work into deeper twists and balancing poses. At the end of class we try out a few backbends, all the twisting can really free the spine. This class was filmed live October 3, 2023.
Hamstring Strengthening with Sliding
In this class you need a towel for sliding work (or paper plates if you are on carpet). We start out warming up lying down, eccentrically contracting the hamstrings with sliding work. We then work towards more strengthening work in bridge pose with the feet elevated on a chair. All this strength work helps support our series of standing poses. Yoga at the Wall, Half Moon
For this class set the narrow side of your mat up at the wall. We work on some familiar poses in different ways at the wall including Half Moon and handstand. This class was filmed live August 8, 2023.
Dancers Pose Sequence
For this class we work with balance, feel free to use a wall of sturdy piece of furniture. We will also need a blanket and blocks.
In this class we work on strong mobile hips to support us in the standing poses. We focus especially on opening the front of the hip. This class was filmed live July 10, 2023.
Adductor Strength Class 2
For this class you need a chair and strap, a foam roller and weight you can hold in one hand. We continue our work on hip strength, focusing on the adductors.
